Gordon Macfie
| COO and CFO, TelcoBridges
Gordon Macfie has held various roles in the technology industry since
graduating with an MBA from the University of Western Ontario in 1992.
He has been on the Board of Directors of a Quebec-based Telus affiliate,
worked in program control at Unisys and been President and CFO of
IndustryHub, a software company he founded which specializes in supply
chain software for mid-sized organizations. He has also worked at Novacap
Investments, a venture capital organization where he oversaw investments
in companies such CI Wireless, InnoMediaLogic and Chrysalis-ITS. All of
which went on to become huge successes in the area of wireless, ATM
technology and Internet security. In addition, he is a Certified
Management Accountant. All these finely honed skills are needed in his
present position at TelcoBridges as he steers the company along the
path of financial prosperity.
For his work with InnoMediaLogic and their subsequent sale to Natural
Microsystems, Gordon's investment recommendation was awarded Deal
of the Year by the Canadian Venture Capital Association.
Steve Letovsky | Managing Principle, LBC Consulting
For the past twenty-three years Steve has consulted clients in both
the public and private sector in virtually all aspects of marketing;
advertising, product promotion, sales forecasting, new product launch,
line extensions, price sensitivity, location research and basically
solving general marketing research problems.
In the public sector, Mr. Letovsky completed projects with various
Federal Government departments including; Supply & Services, Oceans
& Fisheries, and Manpower & Immigration. On the provincial level projects
were completed for the departments of Education, Tourism and Heath
& Welfare. In the private sector both large and small size firms were
serviced--Wonder Bra, Via Rail, Telecom Canada, Canada Post, Kraft,
Imperial Tobacco, Cadillac Fairview, Tele Direct, Schering Laboratories,
Abbott Laboratories, Dunkin Donuts, Sanyo, Seagrams and The National
Capital Commission.
Mr. Letovsky is on staff at McGill University. He teaches Marketing
Research and Services Marketing.
Louise Brunette | University of Quebec in Outaouais, Department of Language Studies
Louise Brunette holds a Masters in Translation from the University of Montreal as well as a PhD in Translation
Studies from the University of Paris III-Sorbonne Nouvelle. In 2000-2001, after a lengthy career as a professional
Translator and Copy Editor, Louise designed and developed the Certificate in Localization at Concordia University.
She is now in charge of a similar program at the University of Quebec in Outaouais. Recognized for her work in
revision and for her involvement regarding the quality of Web site localization, she is now responsible for the
Graduate Diploma in Project Management (DESS) in Localization at the UQO. Because of her expertise, she is often
called upon by professional associations to be an instructor both at home and abroad.
An expert in translation and localization Quality Assurance, Louise has been involved in developing professional
and industrial norms for translation and localization for over three years.
